LaShannon Hyder

LaShannon was born in Hendersonville, NC, and at the age of five moved to Greenville, SC, with his parents and two brothers. At the age of nine he first showed interest in music while taking trumpet lessons. The following year he began receiving piano instruction.

In his high school years, he was actively involved in music with the trumpet, piano, and voice in numerous competitions. He studied at Bob Jones University with a proficiency in piano under the direction of Laurence Morton. LaShannon has a desire to use the gifts that God has given him to let others know the message of Christ. He joined The Calvary Quartet in February 2005 when his brother-in-law, Terry Snow, requested that he "fill in".

LaShannon resides in the Greenville area with his wife, Laura, and four children. Laura sings as well and has sung on occasion with the Quartet as tenor when the quartet's tenor was unable to attend. Laura is a clarinetist and she and LaShannon enjoy playing with the Calvary Baptist Church Orchestra and Brass Ensemble when they are not traveling.

LaShannon considers it an honor and a privilege to serve with The Calvary Quartet. It is his desire that your hearts be warmed with music that brings honor and glory to God.
